You step back in time with
you're cruising in this Model T Roadster Hot Rod! All Henry Ford steel sheet metal
massaged to perfection, there is virtually no filler on this Hot Rod. This car is very straight. Shot in Hot Rod primer with jet black fenders. Reproduction steel hood. Hand fabricated steel deck lid hammered out some 40 years ago! Shortened '40 Ford steering column hooks onto a Flaming River Vega steering box. Cut-down '39 Ford Banjo steering wheel. Stewart Warner gauges with a Tachometer mounted on the steering column. All gauges work perfectly. Seat belts for safety. Battery is mounted in the trunk.
Powered
by a Chevrolet 350 cu. in. V8 hooked to a 350 Turbo automatic transmission. Lokar shifter. Edelbrock 1405 4
barrel mounted on an aluminum Edelbrock intake. Chrome no-name valve covers. Headers help the spent exhaust gases exit thru a custom exhaust system. Electric fan helps keep the engine running cool....even in the Phoenix summer heat. Custom built stock radiator. Power is put to an S-10 Chevrolet rear end, 3:50 ratio, with drum brakes, suspended by coil-over stocks. Front brakes are '40 Ford drum brakes with 'old school' chrome backing plates! Stops unbelievably well without power brakes using a dual reservoir master cylinder. Dropped I-Beam axle with tube shocks. 5.00-5.25 X 16 Excelsior radials in the front and 6.50 x 16 Power King Super Highway tires in the rear. All four are mounted on original Ford 'wide-pattern' steel wheels with '39 Ford Deluxe hubcaps. The frame itself is an all custom Tom Brawner creation from back in the day. (Nephew of Clint Brawner). Rare 'King Bee' sealed beam headlights. This car is driven at least once if not twice a week to
local diners and get-togethers, very dependable Hot Rod.
And it scoots on down the road. No issues, built a couple of years ago and has only a little over 500 miles on it.
