The 1936 Ford 2-Door Cabriolet is a beautifully restored classic that embodies the elegance and mechanical innovation of pre-war American automotive design. This particular example has been under the care of the same dedicated owner for the past 13 years, reflecting a level of consistency and stewardship that is rare in the collector car world. With only 4,000 miles driven since its restoration, it remains in excellent condition and stands as a testament to the craftsmanship of its era.
Under the hood, the Ford is powered by the legendary 221 cubic inch Flathead V8 engine, a powerplant that helped define Ford?s reputation for performance and reliability in the 1930s. Mated to a 3-speed manual transmission, the car offers a truly authentic driving experience, allowing the driver to engage with the machine in a way modern vehicles seldom allow. The engine runs smoothly, and the recent service ensures that this Cabriolet is not just a showpiece, but also ready for the road.
Visually, the car is striking, finished in a deep, rich burgundy that complements its elegant lines and art-deco styling cues. The tan soft top adds a refined contrast, and when lowered, transforms the car into an open-air cruiser perfect for weekend drives or classic car events. The body panels are straight, and the paintwork is clean, showcasing the high-quality restoration it underwent prior to its limited post-restoration mileage.
Inside, the brown leather interior continues the car?s theme of tasteful sophistication. The seats are well-padded and supportive, trimmed in leather that has been well-maintained over the years. The dash and trim are era-correct, with classic gauges and switchgear that preserve the vehicle?s original charm. Despite its vintage roots, the cabin is comfortable and inviting, ideal for relaxed motoring or simply admiring the detail of 1930s design.
With a known ownership history, low mileage since restoration, and a classic color combination, this 1936 Ford Cabriolet is a rare opportunity for collectors or enthusiasts seeking a true piece of automotive history. It combines vintage style, mechanical authenticity, and meticulous care, making it equally suited for concours display or spirited Sunday drives.

About Garage Kept Motors
Garage Kept Motors, LLC specializes in classic and specialty online auto sales.
For our consignors, we are the only auto brokers that offer a Transparent Sale Disclosure. This means, when a car sells, we provide an exact copy of the Bill of Sale. We do this so our clients know exactly who bought their car, where it went, and most importantly how much we sold it for. No funny business.
For our buyers, our vehicles are listed on the Internet, with over 100 photos, including undercarriage pictures, and walk-around videos of the vehicles running plus a narrative-style write-up of the cars history and features. Our international exposure allows us to sell cars across the globe, and we sell a majority of them out of state and overseas. We deliver honesty and consistency in our photos, so buyers, both near and far, can invest with confidence sight unseen though we do recommend to check the vehicle out in person or have a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done. We are not a gallery. Vehicles can be seen locally by appointment as potential buyers are given our undivided attention.
