The 1952 Ford F9 COE Dually Pickup Truck is a bold and distinctive take on one of Ford's most iconic postwar designs. This particular example, acquired from Colorado and owned by the same enthusiast since 2015, has been meticulously crafted into a head-turning custom hauler. Finished in flat black with a vivid red interior, the truck's stance and proportions immediately command attention. Its cab-over-engine (COE) design gives it a commanding view of the road and an unmistakable vintage profile, blending 1950s industrial charm with modern drivability.
Professionally mounted on a 1978 Winnebago chassis, this F9 benefits from significant performance and comfort upgrades while retaining its classic looks. Power comes from a 460 cubic-inch V8 fitted with FiTech Go-EFI fuel injection, paired to an automatic transmission. This combination delivers both strong torque and reliable cruising power, making it a surprisingly smooth and capable rig on modern roads. Power steering and power brakes enhance the driving experience, while the addition of a tow package underscores the truck's practical side; ready to haul, tow, or simply cruise.
Step inside, and the attention to detail continues. The red leather interior provides a vivid contrast to the subdued exterior, offering a mix of vintage styling and modern refinement. Dolphin gauges line the dashboard, providing accurate readouts while adding a custom touch. A diamond-plate flat deck sits behind the cab, giving the truck a rugged utility look that?s balanced by finer touches like spotlights and clean metalwork. The overall result is a well-sorted build that feels as durable as it looks distinctive.
With only 5,000 miles shown since its conversion, this truck remains in excellent driving condition. It starts easily thanks to the EFI system, idles smoothly, and offers a commanding yet comfortable ride. The truck?s dual rear wheels and solid chassis give it impressive stability, making it equally at home cruising highways or parked proudly at a car show. Its combination of power, stance, and usability makes it a standout among COE conversion and an ideal blend of classic design and modern mechanical reliability.
Rooted in the first-generation Ford F-Series lineage, this 1952 Ford F9 COE represents both history and innovation. The original F-Series, introduced in 1947, marked Ford's first postwar truck platform and set the tone for decades of durable, hardworking designs. This particular example honors that legacy while adding custom craftsmanship and mechanical upgrades that transform it into a unique and highly drivable classic. Whether admired for its imposing looks, engineering creativity, or sheer presence on the road, this COE is a remarkable tribute to the enduring spirit of American truck culture.

About Garage Kept Motors
Garage Kept Motors, LLC specializes in classic and specialty online auto sales.
For our consignors, we are the only auto brokers that offer a Transparent Sale Disclosure. This means, when a car sells, we provide an exact copy of the Bill of Sale. We do this so our clients know exactly who bought their car, where it went, and most importantly how much we sold it for. No funny business.
For our buyers, our vehicles are listed on the Internet, with over 100 photos, including undercarriage pictures, and walk-around videos of the vehicles running plus a narrative-style write-up of the cars history and features. Our international exposure allows us to sell cars across the globe, and we sell a majority of them out of state and overseas. We deliver honesty and consistency in our photos, so buyers, both near and far, can invest with confidence sight unseen though we do recommend to check the vehicle out in person or have a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done. We are not a gallery. Vehicles can be seen locally by appointment as potential buyers are given our undivided attention.
