The 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe represents a celebrated chapter in American automotive history, standing proudly as the final year of the C3 generation's iconic chrome bumpers. This example exudes classic Corvette attitude with a sleek, muscular body and unmistakable profile that defined an era of performance and design. It remains exceptionally well-preserved, having had only two registered owners since new, a rarity that highlights its careful stewardship over the decades.
Finished in its factory-correct Ontario Orange Firemist paint (code 987), the car radiates with a deep metallic glow that captures attention from every angle. The vibrant exterior pairs beautifully with the original factory Saddle leather interior (code 421), delivering a warm and timeless color combination that epitomizes early-1970s Corvette styling. The removable, color-matched T-Tops add an additional layer of versatility, allowing the driver to enjoy the open-air experience when desired.
Beneath the hood lies its numbers-matching 350ci V8, factory-rated at 200 horsepower, mated to a smooth automatic transmission for confident cruising. This Corvette is properly equipped for both performance and comfort, featuring power steering, power windows, and power four-wheel disc brakes. Additionally, the factory air conditioning system has been rebuilt and is fully functional, an important detail for collectors seeking originality without sacrificing usability.
With 89k original miles, this Stingray has been driven and enjoyed responsibly, maintaining its integrity and authentic character. It comes documented with its original owner's manuals and Protect-O-Plate, further validating its well-preserved history. Acquired from Mershon Corvette World in Ohio, it stands as a strong example of a well-maintained and properly presented classic.
Overall, this stunning 1972 Stingray Coupe offers a unique blend of originality, desirable features, and classic Corvette performance. As the last of the chrome bumper Corvettes, it represents a pivotal moment in the brand's evolution and remains highly sought after by enthusiasts and collectors alike. Bold in appearance and rich in provenance, it is a standout third-generation Corvette ready to continue its legacy on the road or in any collection.

About Garage Kept Motors
Garage Kept Motors, LLC specializes in classic and specialty online auto sales.
For our consignors, we are the only auto brokers that offer a Transparent Sale Disclosure. This means, when a car sells, we provide an exact copy of the Bill of Sale. We do this so our clients know exactly who bought their car, where it went, and most importantly how much we sold it for. No funny business.
For our buyers, our vehicles are listed on the Internet, with over 100 photos, including undercarriage pictures, and walk-around videos of the vehicles running plus a narrative-style write-up of the cars history and features. Our international exposure allows us to sell cars across the globe, and we sell a majority of them out of state and overseas. We deliver honesty and consistency in our photos, so buyers, both near and far, can invest with confidence sight unseen though we do recommend to check the vehicle out in person or have a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done. We are not a gallery. Vehicles can be seen locally by appointment as potential buyers are given our undivided attention.
