Top of the line trim level first year dentside Ford F100 Ranger XLT with somewhat rare green interior and many options including a tow package with heavy duty radiator and external trans cooler, front disc brakes (standard '75+), AC, power brakes, power steering, and equipped with the reputable 390FE engine and C6 automatic transmission.
59k original miles with a clean accurate mileage title. I have been unable to confirm, but it would appear I am the third owner. Previous Arizona registration slips from either the first owner or a very early second owner shown in the gallery - last one ends in 1991 and that appears to be the last time it was on the road. Truck does not currently drive but it does turn off the starter and will idle with starter fluid. It shifts into drive and reverse with movement, but I have not gone far as the starter fluid/gas dries up shortly after - but it is enough to confirm the transmission and engine function. Saddle tank was pulled in preparation to go through the fuel system but have been unable to get to it for two years now and the reason for my departure with it. The tank is located in the bed along with the driveshaft, headlamps, and a replacement windshield.
Paint likely is not original but appears to be an older job and includes fading on the passenger side, some chips on the frontal region of the hood and small spots throughout the body, and some discoloration in areas. Very minimal paint issues overall and before the photos were taken, I washed and proceeded with a quick detail and polish job.
Doors, hood, side storage box, glove box, and tailgate all open and close well. No steering or suspension clunks and it rolls freely.
Rubber steering and body bushing show well, supporting the mileage listed. Tow receiver appears to have had aftermarket supporting modifications.
Vintage limited edition aluminum camper shell is cool, but will need some TLC to be usable at speed. Truck is missing the AC compressor, side storage box body trim, passenger grill insert, and headlamp retaining rings - complete aside from those to my knowledge.
Battery is relatively new, saddle tank has been removed and cleaned out, new engine oil and filter, new transmission/diff/radiator fluids, new starter and ground wire, new windshield needing to be installed, new door opening weatherstrips, new gauge cluster lense.
Short consensus being an Arizona truck with little to no rust (bottom of passenger door and rear bulkhead starting), minimal dents and body imperfections, decent paint, great condition and rare green interior, well optioned highest trim level first year collectors truck, mostly complete and original, and has not driven in many years.
