1992 Jeep Wrangler (YJ) – 

This 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ, 4.0L, 6-cylinder, manual transmission, approximately 3-inch lift, was purchased from a friend who owned it for over 15+ years (Arizona – minimal rust).  It was a project for my son and I, but now, as my son is getting close to driving, his interests have shifted from Jeep to a car.

The Jeep has over $11k in new parts and recently passed AZ emissions – here is list of all the new parts (including work done by local mechanic):

·      (5) Fuel Anza Matte Gunmetal Black Bead Ring Wheels

·      EAG Steel Front Bumper with Winch Plate 

·      Rugged Ridge Floor Liner, Front/Rear/Cargo

·      Drive shaft

·      Fuel Pump

·      Water Pump

·      Steering Gear Box

·      Fuel Pressure Regulator, Flush Fuel Lines, Fuel Filter

·      Transfer Case Fluid and Seals

·      Battery

·      Lube, Oil and Filter, Air Filter

·      Spark Plugs

·      Drain and refill crankcase

·      Thermostat

·      Flush cooling system and refill

·      Propeller Shaft

·      Turn Signal switch

·      Windshield and rear-view mirror

·      Taillight kits

·      Steering wheel

·      Driver seat (new with driver seat riser and slider)

·      Diver Down Neoprene Seat Covers

·      Sport bar cover

·      Brake pad, Clutch pad, Emergency brake pad

·      Shift knobs

Transparency is important, and while this YJ has come a long way, it’s not fully finished and being sold as-is.  Jeep is currently in Phoenix, AZ.  Buyer responsible for transportation.  I am not a mechanic and am happy to share any receipts of work completed, take other photos, and you are welcome to inspect.  Here’s what I have been told/what I know:

·      Transmission grinds going into 3^rd and 4^th gear – had Jeep mechanic test drive and believes it to be synchro issue

·      Soft top frame – new Smittybilt 9870215 Denim Black OEM Replacement Soft Top with Door Skins and Tinted Windows included, but soft top frame is bent and needs to be repaired or replaced (so new soft top not yet installed but is included)

·      A/C and heat do not work – appears compressor bypassed by prior owner

·      Omix-Ada Fender Flare Kit, 6 Piece, Factory Style Fender flares – included but not yet installed

·      Carpet kit – included but not yet installed (black)

·      Shifter boot – included but not fully installed (was waiting on carpet kit install)

·      Door handles – handles are broken, but still can open, included new exterior handles but not yet installed (black)

·      Windshield seal – included but not yet installed (black)

·      Stereo – works, but not very well

·      Rugged Ridge Hood Kit – included but not yet installed
