Finished in black over a black leather interior and showing just 43,807 miles, this 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 represents the C5-generation formula at its sharpest: a purpose-built, track-bred American two-seater engineered to run with far more expensive performance machinery while still being livable enough for real-world driving. For 2003—Corvette’s 50th anniversary year—Chevrolet leaned into the milestone with year-specific commemorative touches across the lineup, and the Z06 remained the performance flagship: lighter, more rigid, and more focused than the standard Coupe and Convertible models thanks to its fixed-roof hardtop layout and dedicated hardware.
At the center of the experience is Chevrolet’s LS6 naturally aspirated V8, rated at 405 horsepower, delivering its power through a six-speed manual transmission—a defining element of the Z06 identity and one that has become increasingly rare and sought after. On the Z06, a manual transmission was not optional; it was fundamental to the car’s mission. Factory literature notes gear ratios selected to enhance acceleration, paired with a drivetrain engineered to handle the output, including a high-strength aluminum driveshaft tube and a reinforced rear axle with a shot-peened ring gear for added durability. Torque is listed at 400 lb-ft at 4,800 rpm, and the result is the kind of immediate, mechanical response that has long defined the Z06 experience.
Chevrolet’s engineering focus extended well beyond straight-line performance. The Z06 features a suspension calibrated specifically for aggressive driving, with increased shock damping, higher spring rates, a larger front stabilizer bar, and additional negative camber designed to increase the tire contact patch during spirited cornering while still maintaining a ride suitable for everyday use. Standard Active Handling integrates yaw-rate and lateral-acceleration sensors with ABS and traction control to assist the driver in maintaining control across a wide range of driving conditions, while still allowing the car’s balance and rear-drive character to shine through when pushed.
The Z06 also highlights Chevrolet’s commitment to meaningful performance technology. A Head-Up Display (HUD) is standard equipment, projecting critical information—such as vehicle speed, engine rpm, and a performance upshift guide for the six-speed manual—directly into the driver’s line of sight. A multifunction driver information system provides real-time data, reinforcing the Corvette’s dual role as both a serious performance machine and a usable sports car. Visually, the 2003 Z06 retains the unmistakable character of the C5, including its iconic pop-up headlamps, a design element that has since disappeared from modern sports cars and remains a nostalgic hallmark of this era.
This is the Corvette Chevrolet positioned as the quickest and most agile production model of its time—a car defined by its lightweight construction, naturally aspirated V8 power, and uncompromising manual-transmission focus. With 43,807 miles, a timeless black-on-black configuration, and the engineering substance that made the Z06 legendary among enthusiasts, this 2003 example stands as a compelling expression of what many regard as one of the most focused Corvettes ever built.

Vehicle Description:
Our ads are very thorough and we take numerous pictures of each and every vehicle that we sell. It is your responsibility, as a buyer, to look over all the pictures and information we provide in our listings. If you later complain about something we had already disclosed via pictures and/or text, all we will do is direct you back to the original listing to show you that we had already disclosed it from the get-go. We zoom in on any notable imperfections that we come across. As you should already be aware, the vehicle that you are purchasing is pre-owned. While we truly make an effort to present accurate descriptions of the vehicles that we sell, we are only human beings and may accidentally miss some things. We of course do not misrepresent any of our vehicles intentionally, but it is possible that we may do so unknowingly, which is why we welcome pre-sale inspections prior to either placing a deposit or purchasing a vehicle. We cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies and/or misrepresentations in any of our ads. All vehicles are sold as-is and no warranties (expressed or implied) exist.
We sell pre-owned automobiles. There is no such thing as a “brand new” pre-owned vehicle. Some imperfections and wear and tear must be expected with any pre-owned vehicle purchase. While we do inspect our cars thoroughly, our inspections consist of checking out the powertrain and other major components of a vehicle – we do not inspect any other areas nor do we look at wear and tear items like brakes, tires, shocks, light bulbs, etc. Furthermore, we do not change nor top off fluids. Being a used car buyer, it is always safe to assume that some wear and tear items will need replacement. Do NOT make assumptions on the specifics of anything that we haven’t covered in our ad. Instead, feel free to call me and I’ll give you the run-down.
If we haven’t specifically mentioned that something is included, do NOT assume that it is included. Most of our vehicles do not come with both keys, books, and manuals. Buying a plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle? That doesn’t always mean that charger(s) are included. When we acquire hybrid and electric vehicles, we are not always provided with a charger to go along with them. So, we sell them that way as well. If an accessory, part, or any other item is not shown in the ad, do NOT assume it comes with the vehicle. If you’d like to know whether or not something is included, it is your responsibility to ask.
Vehicles 10 years or older are exempt from mileage reporting, as per Texas law. Mileage may vary due to transportation and test drives. Contact us for the exact current mileage.
After Hitting the “Buy it Now” Button:
The transaction becomes legally binding once the “Buy it Now” button is clicked, and a non-refundable deposit is placed. Ensure you have the necessary funds or financing ready. The remaining balance can be paid via wire transfer, in-person cash or certified check, or certified check via mail. Payment instructions will be provided post-deposit.
Note: Full payment by credit card is not accepted.
Agreement: By selecting "Buy it Now" and placing a deposit, you agree to the above terms and policies.
