This book is an introduction to the study of Greek Grammar, enabling students to translate simple sentences from English to Greek. It was written by a scholar with considerable experience in teaching and applying the mechanics of the language.

The book is divided into seven sections: The Subject and Predicate, The Article, The Pronoun, The Verb, The Adverb, The Preposition, and The Conjunction. Each section provides ample vocabulary and enough exercises to practice the mechanics of each component.

The book is quite granular, beginning with the most basic construction of a sentence, before moving into more complicated constructions. Each rule or grammatical paradigm is illustrated with one or more examples from classical Greek authors, giving the learner a sense of how Greek was actually used.

The book is aimed at students with some working knowledge of grammar and assumes a basic familiarity with the parts of speech and basic sentence construction. It is an excellent introduction to the specifics of Greek grammar and will allow students to progress to reading basic Greek prose.
