For DIY users who are familiar with basic car maintenance, you can follow the general steps below to replace the sensor. Please note that these are general guidelines and the specific process can vary by vehicle. We always recommend consulting a professional mechanic if you are unsure.
General Installation Steps:

Safety First: Park your vehicle on a flat, solid surface, engage the parking brake, and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent any electrical shorts.

Lift the Vehicle: Use a jack to safely lift the vehicle and securely place jack stands under the frame near the wheel where you will be working. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack.

Locate the Sensor: Find the faulty ABS sensor. It is usually located on the wheel hub assembly or steering knuckle near each wheel.

Disconnect the Electrical Connector: Locate the sensor's electrical connector. Press the locking tab and carefully unplug it.

Remove the Old Sensor: There is typically a single mounting bolt holding the sensor in place. Use the appropriate wrench or socket to remove it. The sensor might be corroded and stuck in place, so you may need to wiggle it carefully to pull it out.

Install the New Sensor: Clean the mounting hole of any dirt or corrosion. Insert our new sensor into place. Reinstall the mounting bolt and tighten it to the proper torque (if known).

Reconnect the Electrical Connector: Plug the electrical connector back into the new sensor until you hear a "click" indicating it is locked in.

Reconnect Battery and Test: Reconnect the negative battery terminal. Start the engine and observe the dashboard; the ABS warning light should turn off after a few seconds. Take the car for a low-speed test drive in a safe area to ensure the brakes function normally and the ABS light does not come back on.
