Installation Precautions

1.Safety First: Cool Down & Disconnect Power

• Always wait for the engine to cool completely to prevent severe burns from hot coolant.
• Always disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental fan activation or electrical shorts.

2.Thorough System Drainage & Cleaning

• Completely drain the old coolant and inspect it for oil contamination or excessive rust, which may indicate other issues.
• Carefully clean hose connections and mounting surfaces to ensure a clean fit for the new radiator.

3.Compatibility & Careful Handling

• Verify the new radiator model, port locations (hoses, transmission lines, fan) are an exact match for the vehicle.
• Avoid bending or crushing the radiator fins during installation. Even minor damage can significantly reduce cooling efficiency.

4.Proper Connection & Securing

• Use new hose clamps or inspect old ones for tension to ensure tight hose connections. This is critical for preventing leaks.
• Tighten radiator mounting bolts evenly in a crisscross pattern to prevent distortion of the radiator tank.

5.Proper Refilling & Air Bleeding

• Always use the coolant type and correct mix ratio specified for the vehicle.
• After refilling, you must bleed air from the system (typically by running the engine with the heater on) until the operating temperature stabilizes and no air bubbles remain. This is critical to prevent engine overheating.

6.Post-Installation Comprehensive Test

• Hot Test: Run the engine until the electric fan cycles on and off several times. Check for leaks at all connections.
• Coolant Level Re-check: After the system cools down, recheck and top up the coolant to the exact "Full" mark on the reservoir.
