Aphex 500 series USB rack - Super rare. Has an onboard audio converter D/A -
very useful for taking a USB straight out the back into your
DAW and also providing various audio out configurations. Loads of rear switches
for all sorts of configurations. Stereo linking etc. Stereo TRS 1/4”
outs on the rear left of the rack. Individual XLR ins and outs, S/PDIF
out. Input for external clocking. Midi interface. Mono button on the front.
Two headphone outs. An awesomely compact 4 space 500 series rack and the
audio conversion sounds amazing. Aphex were into their Tubesense units which sounded kinda silky and the conversion on this is nice and silky, warm and fat, as opposed to the slightly brittle sound of the Cranborne USB rack. I don’t know why Aphex didn’t do more
converters, as it’s truly a gem.
Six-input (four analogue, two digital), 10-output (again, two digital,
the others analogue) USB 2 audio interface, capable of operating at
24-bit word lengths and at sample rates of up to 96kHz. Four 500 series spaces, can be used as 4 separate or 1 or 2 stereo spaces with stereo linking switch on the rear.
Also, it's heavy. It's steel, but feels like its made of iron. A very robust and strongly built rack with a spring handle on the side for excellent portability. Also has rubber feet on the bottom and the side, for upright or side placement. Both options have a small footprint for excellent desktop placement by not taking up too much room in your workspace.
Comes fully guaranteed.
This is also listed elsewhere with the SSL G Comp, but whichever sells first the remaining listing will be removed. The SSL is also listed on its own.
Please note, the SSL G Comp in the pics is not included. Just the rack and power cable are included in this listing.
