When she was just 10 years old, her father gifted her with adictionary and notebook, made her join the library and inculcated a spirit ofreading and writing within her.
Fast-foward to today, Naume Ndoro-Kusotera – an influential health and wellness champion is the author of Forgiveness and Healing: Your Personal Journey to Wholeness and Freedom, a newly released self-help book which she launched in Harare recently.
Naume is a wife, mother and qualified pharmacist who is also a mental health advocate sharing strong passion in health and wellness issues.She is pursuing counselling which is equipping her with skills to be able to help people, understand issues affecting people around her and how they can come out of the various difficult situations that they find themselves in.
Her website, social media pages branded, Wholeness withNaume, provide practical Biblically based teachings for ordinary peopleto apply in everyday situations as they work on their mental and emotionalwell-being. She is married to a loving and supportive husband who wants her tothrive in her giftings.
Her latest book, Forgiveness and Healing is an insightfulguide offers practical tools and inspiring stories to help individuals overcomethe challenges of unforgiveness and embark on a journey of healing.

At the recent book launch, a lively discussion explored thesignificance of forgiveness and healing within the context of the church.Invited guests, panellists and participants shared their perspectives on howthese concepts can be applied to address various challenges and promotespiritual growth.
“This book holds profound significance within our faith.Central to Christianity is the theme of forgiveness and reconciliation. God notonly forgave us but cleansed us from all unrighteousness, allowing us toapproach His throne with boldness and confidence," Bishop Mutungamiri whowas one of the guest speakers at the launch.
The book has been endorsed by several marketplace andreligious leaders who echoed Naume’s message of forgiveness and healing at atime when many people are haunted by broken relationships, including but notlimited to childhood background, family and marital challenges amongst others.
Veteran author Imelda Tsumba described the book as “a wellwritten and must read practical tool, relevant for all ages” and added that thebook “was full of life lessons of how to cope with emotional challenges”.
Bishop Tendayi Denford and Pastor Tsatsawami Mutungamiri,founders of the Oasis Family Church noted that “whilst there were manyself-help books on healing and forgiveness, with the subject being a centralpoint of focus by most therapists, nothing had by so far explained the subjectas Naume’s book did for them” and added that “the practical journey of lettinggo of resentment, the right to vengeance, and the buderns of shame so that onecould reclaim life had been made practical in this detailed script”
In his foreword, counsellor and founder of ChristianCounselling Centre Ian Wilsher stated that, “The phenomenon of forgiveness wassomething that impacted each and everyone of us and we all needed to forgiveand to be forgiven and added that “Naume shared helpful, practical tools whichbrought understanding of how we could all forgive”.
In the book, Naume uses “fictitious characters” in differenthealing-related dilemmas based on her experiences as a counsellor and theseexperiences entice the reader and makes the book understandable by bringing itsprinciples and tools practical and more relatable.
She paid tribute to her parents, beginning with her fatherfor the role he played in grooming and positioning her to teach throughwriting, thanks to the investment he had made in her early years.
“My father was a librarian. Out of all my siblings, myfather singled me out to accompany him on his different excursions to all thelibraries in Harare. It started off as enjoying the process of reading. Itlater developed to expressing my gift of teaching through writing.
She also paid tribute to her mother for being hercheerleader who taught her a lot about contentment.
“My mother has always been a positive encourager who taughtme a lot about contentment.
She is a strong voice of support in my life, She did all shecould to ensure our needs were met in the best of her ability.
She dedicated the book “to everyone who is struggling to letgo of the pain and harm that was done to them and is now living inunforgiveness and emphasised that it is easy to get stuck in these painfulmoments and how the book carries significant tools and principles that can beapplied to a range of different scenarios which enables one to come out on theother side whilst embracing wholeness.
Naume also added that they were currently working on a Shonaversion of the book, as well as an audio version for the visually impaired oranyone who prefers to listen rather than read.
“I am motivated by seeing people thrive and operate in theirGod-given gifts. My teachings focus on growth, self-discovery, healing,individuality, and positivity” stated Naume.
