DESCRIPTION
Up for sale are a small group of front panel displays and controllers using the NetMedia BasicX 24 Stamp controller IC. The assembly will come pre loaded with a program that will display a working LCD (Non back lit, reflective LCD from EDT (Emerging Display Technologies) LCD # EW162B0GR). The panel includes a total working controller which will allow a programmer to set up his own program to display on the 2 line 16 character LCD display. The PCB in which the BX 24 is socketed to (24 pin machine screw socket) also has a pushbutton switch on the panel that has a green and a red LED integral to it. The switch can be used for selecting items to control and the LED's can be used for user feedback. The panel is mountable and includes a handle. The handle can be removed if you wish. The PCB needs a 12VDC input of at least 2 amps to start. Actual run current is 60-70ma when operating. Max input voltage is 15V.
A shrouded connector is on board to allow the controller to interface with functions off board. The outputs to this connector are buffered. This is a 20 pin header to connect to a ribbon cable. A person could produce a conversion board (not supplied) for a different Stamp module MCU to insert a different MCU Stamp to fit into the socket location for the MCU and run this board.
This is a great controller card for the up and coming engineer and great for a design project that needs a clean interface for a design. Need a robotic interface or a project to read several Analog reads and display them back? This has so many applications it could fill. Think of your possibilities!
WANT TO BUILD your OWN OR JUST WANT THE BASICX BX24 MODULE? For just the Basic Stamp module check out Ebay # 203914603639. If you want to assemble your own board and not have an Aluminum panel and I supply most of the specialized parts, check out Ebay auction # (TBD to come at a later date).
This assembly has a DB9 Serial port (Com1-Com4 connector for uploading and downloading data) the user must have a computer with a Com port and a serial cable to download and upload user created programs. Also a 12VDC stable power supply to run.(THESE ARE NOT SUPPLIED). The Device comes with its own editor and compiler. You could set up and program with Visual Basic (not supplied). The editor and monitor programs in Basic.
Included in this Bundle:
Qty 1 Assembled Controller with LCD, Switch with integral LED's and operating PCB. Turnkey and will run program when power applied. Has reset button and contrast adjustment on board. Panel is black anodized aluminum
Qty of 2 Netmedia BX-24 Stamp modules with the program loaded that operates the panel as seen in video. These also have two LED's on the BasicX module that are extra than the 2 on the push button.
A CD with BX24 software for 32 bit Win95/Win 98 software loaded
A CD with BX24 software for 64 bit WinXP/Win10 software loaded

This is a development kit. It is a blank slate for programming it for reading and controlling real world conditions. It is sold for use as an educational tool or an operational interface. These were removed from an inside environment and are in very good condition. The seller takes no responsibility for the use and operation of this device by individuals who may use it to cause harm to others. Thanks for looking and enjoy the auction.
