The
Nikon FX-UFX-II system is a 35mm. film systems
We are offering for sale 2 complete systems, with one controller box.
• 2 photo tubes that
fit into the trinocular microscope port.
This part holds the projection lens.
• 3 projection
lenses. These are Nikon CF lenses a
2.5X, a 4X and a 5X magnification that
slide into a fitting in the photo tube.
• 2 base adapter units
with exposure, light monitoring, electronic shutter, with critical focusing
eyepiece, electronic unit capable of various methods for assessing the image. Specifically spot and and averaging metering
promotes accurate exposure in low light applications.
• 2 film adapters
(35mm film) for the bridge between the exposure control unit and film
carrier. The distal end of this adapter
has the Nikon F-mount fitting.
• 4 film carriers
(dark box) that couple with the adapter for 35mm film. The film carriers are capable of switching in
real time so that different camera backs can be loaded with different types of
35mm film. Two of these camera backs are
in original boxes and may be new, but I can’t be sure.
• 2 remote
control shutter releases.
• 1 Main controller
Box with 3 cables, and 2 hand shutter releases.
I have tested the main controller box by connecting it to the base
adapter units and plugging it in.
• Copies of the
original instructions.
Briefly,
the vertical photo tube sleeve inserts into the trinocular microscope port and
the projection lens is dropped into the vertical photo tube sleeve. The projection lens projects the magnified
image onto the film plane. The UFX main shutter control/monitoring unit
slides into the photo tube, and 35mm. film adapter and motorized camera back
film holder mount on top. The control
unit connects to the exposure monitoring/control unit with 2 cables, a power
supply, and shutter release (optional).
Images
on this listing are of individual components and the complete system assembled, plus a borrowed
image of the system in place (microscope
not included).
Note: People are learning to adapt this system to non-35mm
film photomicroscopy. Apparently,
because of Nikon's traditional F bayonet fitting, this creates opportunities to
mount something other than the camera backs described here. I have not tried these techniques
Shipping: I'm offering to split the shipping
costs. I’m shipping from Sturgeon Bay,
WI 54235 and will make every effort to
ship within 2 days. I’m estimating a shipping weight of 18 pounds.
According to Ebay, apparently, the way to split shipping costs is after
the sale and we know exactly the shipping costs, I issue a rebate to the seller
for half the shipping costs. I’ve never
done this before. I am not an
experienced seller, but I assume shipping costs will be substantial, and I’m
willing to try this.
