First , Turn on/ off or disconnet the power to your device , make sure that the New Brand batteries are installed with the correct polarity , Don't mix different types of batteries.

Third ,check if any infrard light up ( Or if the screen is displaying ) when press the button and provide the Detailed problem to us ,such as: the model number of your device (old remote ) or take a photo of your old remote to us .
