The internal register set is backward compatible with the widely used and popular 16C450, supporting automatic hardware and software control, automatic -485 support, and software The SC161S752 is an /SPI bus interface connecting to a dual-channel high-performance UART, providing data rates up to 5 Mbit/s, low operating and sleep current. It provides eight additional programmable I/O pins for applications, enabling seamless protocol conversion from IC bus/SPI to ,232/-485, and is fully bidirectional. The SC161S752 only supports SPI clock speeds of 4 Mbit/s, and it supports IrDA up to 1.152 Mbit/s. SIR allows software to reset the UART at any time independently of the hardware reset signal.
