This recorder looks near mint but does not work because of an error code: "EncDSP Init Err." It uses six AA batteries (not included) or an AC adapter (not included).  Comes complete with a 32 MB CF card.  Also included is a working CD-SP1 carrying case with integrated speaker (with instructions). It uses three AA batteries (not included). There's a trace of previous battery leakage. Everything sold as is. Thanks for looking.
