The Story This amazing one-of-a-kind 1927 T-Bucket custom creation is here on consignment. The seller recently moved to Sarasota from Duluth, Minnesota and brought a few classic cars with him - this is one of them. People move here to Sarasota, bring with them their classic cars... then soon realize there's so much to do here other than spending time in the garage. Hence, the T-Bucket is now for sale. Construction of this car began in 2002. Each winter for many years in Duluth, the seller would work on the car in his heated outbuilding, which he called the "Garage-Mahal" - a play on Taj Mahal. In 2011 the car was completed and ready for summer car shows. The car was trailered to Minneapolis several times each year, winning awards at several of them. "It has been a real crowd-pleaser over the years," says the seller. What you're looking at is a traditional lakes and track roadster - channeled body, exposed rails, suicide front axle, hairpin radius rods. This is the style that defined early hot rodding culture, straight out of the dry lakes era of the 1940s and 50s. Whoever built this knew exactly what they were doing. This is not a resto, not a restomod - it's a traditional build done right. |
