1968 International Travelette Camper mobile. This vehicle started out in a western state and the cleanliness of the body shows. At some point it was brought to New York, then Maryland and now Pennsylvania. Although the body is not 100% rust free, its way cleaner than most. As most C series Internationals, this one has some cowl rust, minor lower door edge rust and random bubbling here and there. This fits more the "patina'd driver" quality rather than show. Originally 2wd (and still sorta) this truck has had a modern disc brake 4x4 front axle swap but the transfer case and appropriate driveshafts were never installed. The original 304 V8 automatic transmission runs well. This vehicle (without the camper installed) has gone on several 50-60ish mile trips with no issues. The truck has power steering and power brakes, which along with the automatic trans makes this truck extremely easy to drive compared to its manual brake, steering and trans counterparts. For such a large and long truck, it drives, turns and stops excellent - I cant really say enough about that. Very very driver friendly option package. That being said, the truck has never been driven on the road with the slide in camper installed. The period correct Avion camper was acquired with great dreams of restoration that never materialized. The interior of the camper is in fair condition but would need essentially a full re-do. Anyone familiar with these campers knows that the "wings" tend to rot. These have been repaired and are solid. For anyone not wanting the camper, it can be taken off here if desired. No price credit will be applied for leaving it, but I can remove, reinstall truck tailgate and send you off with the truck less the camper. If the camper goes with the truck, it will need to be strapped to the truck because as it sits currently, there are no mounts installed affixing it to the truck.
I would recommend trailering the truck home and then going through the mechanicals to fit your needs. It has been driven and never left me sitting, but as with any older vehicle, there are no guarantees. Overall the truck would make a great starting point for several further directions: Full modern drivetrain swap (LS, diesel, entire chassis), leave it the way it is and drive it today, or continue the 4x4 swap as well as maintaining the current mechanicals, interior and exterior to fit your needs.
A few photos of the truck are included to show without the camper installed.
