This 1971 Volvo 1800E was purchased in 2012 from a gentleman in NY. He partially restored it with a beautiful paint job and replaced any interior items that were terribly worn or not working.
The car is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four mated with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. In 2015 the engine and engine compartment were completely redone. There is too much to list so I've attached the receipts.
The car is equipped with an electronic ignition, Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection, chrome bumpers, and crank windows. Upgrades include, a handsome Nardi steering wheel, Dayton wire wheels, and retro style stereo. Sold with the car is a car cover, original Volvo books, a tool kit, and a clean Ohio title in my name.
The brakes were also completely redone 4 years ago. I've attached receipts showing all new calipers, pads, rotors, and disks. Since the engine and brake overhauls I've only put on about 100 miles.
The interior is in good condition. The front seats show wear but there are no major cracks. I apply leather conditioner periodically to keep them soft. The back seats are in better condition because they're rarely used.
Also included in the pictures is a list of the brake components. The brakes were completely redone 4 years ago. Calipers, rotors, pads,
This car has been kept in a temperature controlled garage since I've owned it. It is stored there now and can be viewed almost anytime during the day. Evenings are more difficult.
This is a near show quality car. There are just a few minor items which I have not fixed:
- A minor paint blemish inside by the driver's side roof area. A picture of it is attached.
- The wipers come on randomly
- The stereo picks up only the 1 station
- Front headlight needs bulb replaced.
Please ask all questions or see it in person before offering/purchasing.
