This bike has been in my family. Was my father bike for a long time, he meticulously took care of it at a reputable local shop every year he owned it. He was a weekend rider. He gave me the bike and I have had it for some time. I fixed a few aesthetic things over the time I’ve owned it. I have rarely rode the bike and I feel it is time to sell so someone else can enjoy this piece of Honda history.
The good:
There is mechanically zero issues with the bike as it sits, starts right up and runs great. The tires have a lot of life left. The shaft drive functions as should without weird sounds or grinding. Shifts clean and crisp and still has the original power feeling it came off the factory line with. Has never left me stranded or with the thought of not starting. This bike will run for many more years to come.
The bad:
Everything’s works as it should besides the heat gauge which is common with these. The gauge will heat up and flash but the bike has never over heated or has ever reached any unsafe temps it’s just an error with the gauge. This bike was made on 1984 there is marks consistent with tha. The fuel tank has some debts but has been repainted in the past to color match the original paint. Even with dents it looks beautiful. The side panels have issues staying on because of how old the rubber inserts are. They still stay in place.
