Vehicle Details
This has been an outstanding vehicle for me, for nearly a decade.
The only reason I’m parting with it is to raise funds for veterinary surgery fees for my beloved dog.
I sincerely regret not being able to drive it for another decade.
I’m the 3rd owner, and got it from a trusted relative who had it for years prior, and took really good care of it. Original owners manual with their maintenance notes included.

Typical cosmetic wear and tear for its 23 years of use. Please see detailed photographs included as part of the item description, of cosmetic blemishes such as rock chips, scratches, paint peels, faded spots, and spots of surface rust.
There is a shallow vertical dent, barely noticeable, on the right rear from a rogue shopping cart, and a long scratch on the right side of the canopy.
A very small rock chip on the passenger side windshield. The left rear brake light cover is cracked, but still functional. The top clear coat is degrading on the canopy roof and on the surface of the wheels.
The Ranger has been completely reliable for me and has never required more than routine maintenance in the time it’s been with me.
Recent oil change and multi systems safety check passed at Les Schwab.
New Firestone tires installed 2021 have great tread and are still under warranty.
For full transparency, and so you can feel confident purchasing from a distance, below, I am listing every mechanical or functional feature that I’m aware of in less than ideal condition. All should be relatively simple and easy to address if you choose:
Mechanical:
The truck has always run great for me with zero problems. The only issue I am aware of is the idle sometimes runs a bit high or “surges”. This only occurs once in a while, and typically when stopped at a traffic light or when departing early in the morning in cold conditions.
This Ranger has carried our human and canine family safely on countless adventures to the beach, mountains, rivers, lakes, and backcountry camping. Its also been invaluable for hauling firewood, gardening supplies, and moving house. A truly handy truck, and fun to drive!
Non-mechanical functions:
The audio system doesn’t work and I’ve never attempted to find out why.
The cigarette lighters are absent from the dash.
The center console arm rest storage compartment closes fine but doesn’t latch properly, and there’s a crack in the compartment lid underneath the padded top.
One of the two canopy locks doesn’t work.
The hydraulic “lift arms” on the canopy do not hold the glass door in the open position.
Aside from these items described above and represented in photos, the truck is really a gem, and has lived up to the strong reputation and popularity of the Ford Ranger.
It runs great on the freeway for longer trips, on country back roads, and in town running errands as well.
