Quick summary: Meticulously cared for 2003 DRZ 250 off road and street legal motorcycle. Maintenance records. Excellent condition. Everything works good. A second set of complete Suzuki OE wheels with off road tires comes with the bike. The same chain and same chain adjustment for both sets of wheels. (See pictures.) The wheels on the bike are DOT legal and 50/50 road and trail. $4000 or best good offer. $500 deposit for test ride. Transfer of DNR registration preferably takes place at license bureau. Bike description: Quiet, single cylinder, air cooled and oil cooled four stroke, 250cc, 6 speed, off road, approx. 3500 miles, street legal, electric and kick start, long travel suspension, good low end torque, wide and smooth power band, excellent stopping power, resettable tripmeter, taillight/brake light/headlight/mirror/horn, street licensed until 2027, Excellent condition dual sport tires on bike. The wheels with knobbies have a new front tire and a very good condition rear tire. Two sets of original DRZ 250 wheels. Original condition with quality upgrades to improve safety, reliability and power without losing reliability, beyond meticulously maintained in my 1,300 miles of ownership, only non-ethanol 91 octane fuel, 10w40 oil changed every 100-200 miles, twin air filter changed every 100 miles using no toil filter oil, 11 pages of detailed records with about 150 records, perfectly jetted and runs perfect, everything works perfect, ridden on forest trails, around the neighborhood, on trail rides and even at the Mora and Duquette enduro. Good for dual sport events.
Work completed May 2026: * Changed oil and oil filter. 1225 CC’s 10W40 Yamalube, new Hi Flo filtro oil filter, new o-ring for oil filter, new crush washer for drain bolt. * New NGK CR9EIX iridium spark plug * New Suzuki OE front brake pads. * Cleaned and oiled air filter with no toil oil. * Cleaned and lubricated front & rear wheels and axle bolts using Bel ray waterproof grease. * Cleaned skid plate and applied antiseize on the mounting bolts for easier disassembly. * Oiled chain, foot pegs, rear brake lever, shift lever. * Removed and cleaned the forks underneath the fork boots. Cleaned under the oil seal of leaky fork. * New polisport fork boots that are thicker than the Suzuki ones.
Quality upgrades that I did myself including: *Brand New Suzuki OE $550 Mikuni pumper VM28 carb from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. *Brand new 3 ignition keys. *Brand new Suzuki OE odometer cable, two cable guides. (Previous owner removed them). *Brand new ricochet aluminum skidplate with antiseized screws so removable with 5mm Allen or T40 star wrench. *Brand new motion pro throttle cables. *Brand new renthal Kevlar grips. *Brand new Suzuki OE rear brake rotor guard. (Previous owner broke the original one) *Brand new Suzuki OE kickstand, springs and hardware. *Brand new Suzuki fuel peacock with screen, o-ring gasket and 2 screws. *Brand new fuel filter installed on gas line. *Brand new 3mm heavy duty Bridgestone inner tube, motion pro rim tape and rubber rim band, motion pro rim lock and dampener, rubber seal to waterproof valve stem, waterproof rim lock nut on front and rear wheels. *Tightened spokes on front and rear wheels. *Brand new DID VT2 narrow x-ring chain. *Brand new 51 tooth rear sprocket/ hardware kit on both rear wheels and new 13 tooth front sprocket. Rear sprocket geared down 2 teeth for technical trails. *Brand new twin air filter. (3 of them) *Brand new Motul RBF 600 brake fluid front and rear that has 594 deg dry/421 deg wet boiling point so they do not fade in all day trail rides. (Rear brake faded previously but not since this upgrade.) *Brand new Dynojet jetting: dynojet needle 3 clips from top, float height .500-.520”, dynojet DJ 122 main jet, 45.0 Mikuni pilot jet, fuel screw 1.0 turns out from seated, twin air filter with no toil oil, NGK CR9EIX iridium spark plug. Bike runs perfect. *Brand new enduro engineering aluminum handlebar guards with blue loctite on fasteners *Brand new non ripping Dirt bike gear tool bag with blue loctite applied to fasteners. *engine oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plug changed about every hundred miles. *minor modifications for increased power include: twin air filter/no toil oil for better air flow, the top of the air box was cut out bigger to allow increased air flow by previous owner, I ground out the excess welds inside the exhaust header pipe for better air flow through the exhaust, the muffler was modified for better air flow by previous owner yet still quiet and and has a forestry approved spark arrestor, Dynojet jetting to match these modifications.
Negatives: The right front fork has a slight leak if fork is left compressed.
