FRM3 module can fail for numerous reasons.
Most commonly when voltage is too low or there is sudden drop of voltage (flat battery, jump starting disconnecting the battery and etc.).
The reason behind it is that FRM3 module software becomes corrupted and stops working.
Most common symptoms of FRM3 module failure:
1. The lights are not switching off or on, headlight always on, indicators don’t work.
2. Central lock is not operating
3. Sunroof , electric windows are not working
4. If a convertible – the top roof does not fold.
5. Lcost connection with OBD2

FRM 3 unit is placed on the driver’s side kick panel (see pic) and it is easy to remove.
Mini Frm unit is on the passangers side kick panel.
