This solid state rectifier will replace your old rectifier on an Excelsior 250. IF YOU DO BUY AN UNMARKED TYPE THAT LOOKS SIMILAR, IT WILL NOT BE ONE LIKE I SUPPLY WHICH ARE THE BEST AVAILABLE FULL WAVE RECTIFIERS SUITABLE FOR THESE OLD BIKES. IT IS LIKELY TO BE A 50P ITEM. THE UNMARKED ONES AVAILABLE HAVE A BETTER USE LEVELLING A TABLE IN A SLOPING GARAGE AS THEY WILL FAIL IF USED ON A MOTORCYCLE WITH AN ALTERNATOR. THEY ARE SUITED TO USE ON AND OLD BLACK AND WHITE TV AND NOT ON A VIBRATING ENGINE
