Air Suspension Installation Guide
1.Pre-installation Preparation
Tools & Accessories
- General repair sockets, wrenches, torque wrench
- Jack, safety stands, tire remover
- Air struts, air pipes, air compressor, air tank, solenoid valves, mounting brackets, sealant, cable ties
Safety Check
- Park the vehicle on flat solid ground, engage parking brake and chock wheels.
- Disconnect vehicle power supply to prevent short circuit.
2.Remove Original Shock Absorbers
- Lift the car with a jack, secure with safety stands, then remove all tires.
- Loosen upper and lower mounting bolts of the original shock absorber in order, then take off the original assembly.
- Clean dust and rust on mounting positions, and inspect suspension parts for damage.
3.Install Main Air Struts
- Align the air strut with original mounting holes, fasten bolts loosely (do not fully tighten yet).
- Adjust the angle and position to ensure no jamming or scraping, then tighten bolts to standard torque with a torque wrench.
- Check the travel range of the air spring to ensure enough operating space.
4.Lay Air Piping
- Plan the route of air pipes, keep away from high-temperature parts, sharp edges and moving components.
- Cut air pipes to proper length, connect strut air ports, solenoid valves, air tank and compressor. Apply sealant on joints to prevent air leakage.
- Fix pipes neatly with cable ties, reserve extra length for vehicle lifting and lowering.
5.Install Electric Control & Air Supply System
- Mount the air compressor, air tank and solenoid valve set in the trunk or vacant undercarriage area.
- Connect power wires, control wires and control panel per wiring instructions, wrap all wires for waterproofing.
- Firmly connect ground wire to vehicle metal body for stable conduction.
6.Debug & Air Leak Test
- Switch on power, start the compressor to inflate the system. Check if all air struts lift and lower synchronously and smoothly.
- Apply soapy water on all pipe joints and air ports to find air leaks, then re-seal defective positions.
- Lift and lower the vehicle repeatedly, test all height levels to verify normal operation.
7.Final Restoration
- Reinstall tires, remove safety stands and jack, then lower the vehicle to the ground.
- Double-check all bolts, pipes and wires, and clean the working area.
- Take a short test drive. The installation is finished if there is no abnormal noise or air leakage.
