II. Operating Procedures
1. Connect the electrode and remove the protective cover.
for 2. First, rinse the pH meter electrode with distilled water, and then use filter paper to absorb any water adhering to the electrode.
3. Briefly press the "ON/OFF" button to turn on the power.
4. Insert the pH meter electrode into the to be measured until the electrode is immersed to a depth of approximately 4 cm. Do not submerge the solution at the electrode connection point.
5. Gently stir the solution until the value stabilizes, then read the stable display number.
6. Briefly press the "HOLD" button to hold the current measurement value. To remeasure, press the "HOLD" button again to release the hold state.
7. After use, press the "ON/OFF" button to turn off the power, rinse the electrode with distilled water, and replace the protective cover.
III. pH Calibration
1. Immerse the pH electrode in a mixed phosphate standard buffer solution with a pH value of 6.86 (25℃),
and gently agitate. for 2. Adjust the calibration potentiometer with a small screwdriver until the displayed value matches the pH value of the standard buffer solution at the solution temperature.
Then rinse the pH meter electrode with distilled water and blot dry the electrode and surrounding area with filter paper.
3. Immerse the electrode in a standard buffer solution of potassium hydrogen phthalate (pH 4.01) or borax (pH 9.18).
4. Wait for the displayed value to stabilize; the displayed value should be within the allowable error range compared to the pH value of the buffer solution.
