Practical Lettering and Layout - a vintage classic by F.J. Mitchell - 1947
A neat little (24cm x 17.5cm) book with lots of practical tips on lettering. Authored by the Head of Dept of Commercial Art and Advertising Design at the Horsey School of Art and Crafts.
With 20 (lovely) full page illustrations by the author. It also has a few small pencil illustrations, possibly added by my young father! But they're quite well done - see a photo.
