Realistic-Pro-2005 model no. 20-144 scanning receiver desk top programmable scanner.
This scanner was owned by a HEAVY SMOKER and most of the residue was cleaned, but some remained inside the unit and has not been removed completely.
The ON-OFF/ Volume control power switch failed and was modified just as a volume control only, and a mini toggle switch was added where the head phone jack used to be for power on and off. The removable screw on antenna on top is missing, optional BNC connector for an external rubber duckie or roof antenna.
High end scanner produced in the 1980's. Features: 400 channels for scanning across bands including VHF/UHF. Includes a liquid crystal display (LCD) however the green back light is very dim, LCD text is very clear and readable to show selected channels and frequencies.
Equipped with a "Sound Squelch" feature to prevent stopping on channels without voice audio. Allows direct frequency entry and has speed control for scanning. Sold under Radio Shack/Realistic Division of Tandy Corporation, made GRE Japan.
