This unit has been tested and CD playback works perfectly — it plays discs, skips tracks forward/backward, and all transport buttons respond with no issues.

I was not able to test the recording function due to my current setup, but based on the overall performance and condition of the unit, I believe the recording function should work as well.

If the recording function does NOT work, I will accept a return within 14 days.

The remote control is included. Please note that the battery cover on the remote is missing, but the remote itself works with no problems.

Overall in good used condition with normal signs of use.
