"Complete" as mentioned here denotes that this magneto appears complete and intact. We haven't opened it to examine for parts but it's believed to be a complete unit good for core or OH. I haven't cracked the upper casing to see what's inside but assume the cap and rotor assembly are still inside. Dirty. Greasy. Looks like a water transfer sticker on it from an OH shop in Burbank, CA? No paperwork or tags.
Wartime unit as used up thru late 1950s when USN was still using these magnetos pretty exclusively on the -31 engines in the Lockheed PV-2 "Harpoon."
Condition is a little dusty and dirty from warehouse storage and the paint is a little scratched and ugly in spots. The aluminum case isn't dented or cracked or broken and it appears most of the stainless steel hardware is still there. We got it from an old firebomber operator who flew Harpoons fighting forest fires and killing bugs. This was in his "spares" inventory.
Nice parts source or fun little PW or Bendix souvenir. Haven't dropped my pants and dropped balls on the connector points and spun the gear like that first day as a young apprentice in the mag shop, so I don't know if it's complete enough to generate a spark. I'll let you decide that for yourself.
Heavy. Best shipping method will be FedEx Ground unless you request otherwise. What you see in the picture series is exactly what you get. Questions? Please ask. And thanks for looking!
