Description

This vehicle was acquired in June of 2025 from Bring a Trailer and is now being sold by the owner Chris Carter. This 1972 International Harvester Scout II was refurbished and modified in 2023 with a 5.3-liter Vortec V8 and a 4L60E four-speed automatic. The truck is finished in metallic green with gray side stripes and equipped with tubular bumpers, a front winch, power steering, step bars, a receiver hitch, LED lighting, manually locking front hubs, a Wizard Cooling radiator, and a swing-away rear tire carrier, and it rides on a 4″ lift kit and 17″ Method wheels with Nitto Recon Grappler tires. The cabin is outfitted with custom tan and brown upholstery, a copper-finished roll bar, Intellitronix gauges, Corbeau seats, heated front buckets, and a touchscreen infotainment receiver linked to a custom audio system. This modified Scout II is now offered by the owner with a clean title. The body is finished in metallic green with gray side stripes and black hardtop accents. The tubular front bumper is equipped with an X-Bull winch, a bull bar, and recovery shackles, while the rear bumper houses a receiver hitch, shackles, and a swing-away tire carrier. Further details include black wheel arch extensions, step bars, LED headlights, and smoked turn signal lenses. The truck rides on a 4″ lift kit with shocks and leaf springs at all four corners, and the steering power steering box and steering stabilizer were replaced during the build, per the selling dealer. Black-finished 17″ Method wheels are mounted with Nitto Recon Grappler A/T tires measuring 285/70, and a matching spare is affixed to the rear carrier. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The Corbeau front bucket and rear bench seats are trimmed in tan upholstery, and the matching headliner, door panels, and rear side panels are adorned with diamond-stitched inserts. The custom center console houses the transmission and transfer case selectors, cupholders, USB ports, and controls for the front seat warmers. The Jensen touchscreen head unit is linked to aftermarket speakers, and further details include push-button ignition, LED lighting, replacement carpets, and a copper-finished roll bar. The W-Power three-spoke steering wheel fronts an Intellitronix digital instrument cluster with a speedometer and readouts for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 60 miles. Total mileage is unknown. The previous owner notes the 5.3-liter Vortec V8 was installed in 2023. It is equipped with a custom intake pipe, a Wizard Cooling aluminum radiator, a PSI Conversions wiring harness, custom coil covers, and an Optima battery. Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission, an NP 241 transfer case, and replacement driveshafts. The frame was refinished in satin black and fitted with replacement bushings and body mounts during the build, per the previous owner.
