For consignment, a 1986 GMC Sierra Classic 2500 4x4 long bed pickup truck with a title verified 79,358 actual miles. This is a one family truck with the original owner avoiding winter storms and the corrosion that typically follows.

Exterior
Canyon Copper is an appropriate name for the brown paint on our 2500 and the optional two tone combo with Beige creates quite a standout, especially when teamed with the matching Leer bed camp. The flat front fascia features stacked dual headlights and a black grille in an aluminum surround over the straight chrome bumper. This truck has the addition of a bug deflector which rockets incoming insects skyward and over the windshield. Chrome side mirrors are large, and the truck sits high on 16-inch steel wheels with 75 series LT rated tires. A few inches of the lift are tempered by the addition of DeeZee running boards, added to greatly ease entry. Chrome exhaust tips exit behind the rear wheels and a tow hitch is included on the diamond steel topped rear bumper. Overall, the exterior is in good condition with some random scratches and several areas of rust bubbling and a rust hole on the rocker panel.
Interior
The western vibe of the exterior carries over to the interior where tan and saddle is first combined on the elaborate door panels that combine vinyl, plastic, metals, carpet, and a velour insert on a busy and functional door, each showing a bit of patina. So does the tan cloth bench which has tears on the side and seam at piping with the upper surfaces remaining relatively clean and intact. The steering wheel is intact but the center cap has a crack and the black column leads to an aluminum faced dashboard with an array of black faced gauges with easy to read orange needles. The A/C panel and AM/FM/Cassette radio are to the right while the passenger has on the clean brown dash pad and glove box ahead. Plush tan carpet covers the floor where we find the transfer case selector, all in good condition. The headliner is clean and the bed is in great shape and covered with a fitted rubber mat.
Drivetrain
Driver quality conditions are found in the bay where the 350ci V8 resides. It is fueled by a 4-barrel carburetor and backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission sending power to the 14 bolt rear or splitting it to the front 10 bolt, both with 4.10 gears.
Undercarriage
Like the bay, the underside has its share of surface rust but generally dry conditions. Leaf springs are utilized front and rear and power brakes are onboard as front disc and rear drum. Dual exhaust finds FlowMaster mufflers before exiting via chrome tips and there are no catalytic converters on the system.
Drive-Ability
We pump the gas and turn the key and the trusty 350 comes to life without hesitation. We note an exhaust leak as we head out to the test loop, and the cab proves to be a comfortable place to be with lots of room. The sliding rear window is the first of three windows you'll look through in the rear view mirror, but each is sizable and not overly restrictive. The truck runs fine and tracks true, and we note the radio turns on but does not produce sound and the passenger power window is not working. Beyond that, all functional items operate as they should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.
Plow truck, grocery getter, winter beater, cruise night chariot, camper conversion platform. There are so many possibilities with this truck and in this condition with these miles, it is becoming harder to find each year. We list regular, now vintage trucks because there's a demand for them and they usually don't last, so contact your friendly Car Specialist today.
